Ghostwriter | Author Coach | Editor & Proofreader
Why Hire a Ghostwriter?
A ghostwriter “speaks” through the author. A ghostwriter not only creates articles, essays, and well-tailored manuscripts, they amplify the voice of the author. They enrich your message. They analyze how you would phrase something, and how you would talk through the written word. No one wonders. No one suspects a trail or the phantom behind the curtain! In my process, I allow my authors to see every step in ghostwriting and let them co-create. Active participation is key, but a ghostwriter does the work.
What Does a Ghostwriter Do?
A ghostwriter fills in the blanks. At least once in our lifetime, we all think about writing a book or life story. Many people, though, never so much as pen a single sentence. Some already have a few chapters but don’t know how to: (1.) organize it (2.) frame the message (3.) colorize and stylize the writing (4.) hook the reader through levels of storytelling.
A good ghostwriter knows how to do all four. I fill, fix, and functionalize the manuscript, article, or essay to fit your message.
A Ghostwriter is a Secret Keeper
Ghostwriting is a highly confidential, vulnerable, and often times emotional process. In what I call the “bleed out” stage of phone interviews, authors are given the platform to open up and be starkly honest. No matter if the story is high profile or not, a ghostwriter knows how to keep this entire process a secret. None of my manuscripts, articles, and essays are written without a non-disclosure agreement signed by both parties. Point blank, these are YOUR words and YOUR story. A ghostwriter respects the intimate, personal process of writing your book—no matter the genre!
